Manager - Food Safety

Support the team in the development of a project plans and tools for the effective management of Food Safety of Expo 2020’s various contractors. The successful candidate will have a strong competency for food science and experience in the local Dubai market in public health. This Manager will also be responsible for the oversight of Expo 2020’s food safety auditors during event time ensuring that they meet the necessary standard to ensure the safe service to Expo’s visitors. The main responsibilites of the role include: - Liaise with Dubai Municipality, various contractor entities and internal Expo 2020 business functions to coordinate food safety plans; - Act as the internal subject matter expert as it relates to public health, sanitation, environmental health and food safety management; - Develop project plans related to the timely construction of detailed requirements for Expo 2020; - Add capability to the Food and Beverage team through joint development of menu planning with due consideration to health, nutrition and food quality / safety; - Coordinate with Expo’s various FM contractors to ensure ancillary services such as waste management and pest control are aligned to food safety needs; - Assist with the preparation of contingency plans for food safety incidents and act as the on-the-ground expert for food safety in the pre-operational and operational phase for Expo; - Deploy food safety auditors appropriately for assurance and quality control and also engage as the point of contact for food borne illness claims and liaise with regulatory authorities as required; - Liaise with operators in the Concessions business to assist with the implementation of best practices. 
المهارات
6 + years in public health, food safety or similar operational environment, as well as:
- A Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a food related field;
- Experience on the ground as an actual food safety auditor, consultant or associate;
- Demonstrated track record in project management;
- Analytical capability, communication and interpersonal skills;
- Working within a team, being a capable contributor in a dynamic environment;
- Experience in working in a multi-cultural organization, GCC region desirable.
