Manager Special Projects

The Special Projects Manager will support the International Student Programme team to drive student visitation at Expo 2020, mainly from the GCC markets and support with outreach to UAE government entities. They will also support with developing the operational planning and delivery component of the Programme. Main responsibilities for this role include:  - Support with driving international student visitation to Expo 2020 Dubai; - Support with monitoring financials and budget requirements for the International Student Programme; - Develop action plans and actively work with the Travel Trade to raise awareness and educate key decision makers in educational institutions; - Build and strengthen relationships with educational institutions, travel trade and government entities in the GCC region to drive student visitation; - Represent Expo 2020 with travel to International Tourism fairs and roadshows to deliver destination based educational programs to stimulate student group ticket sales in GCC markets and achieve targets; - Identify and develop opportunities for the International Student Programme and support with driving ticket sales to achieve targets; - Support with product development and operational planning and delivery aspects of the International Student Programme; - Support with the management of the International Student Programme Authorised Ticket Resellers by providing them with necessary training and marketing collateral; - Support with updating the International Student Programme marketing collateral.
المهارات
6+ years’ experience in the travel and attractions industry, or any experience in educational programs as well as:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Time management skills with the ability to manage a heavy workload to tight deadlines;
- Excellent ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels within the organisation and with key travel trade;
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations to different levels of audiences in English and Arabic;
- Ability to undertake international travel including GCC markets;
- Fluent in written and spoken English & Arabic.
