Manager - University Operations

The position is responsible for developing the Event Time delivery plan, operational management and safety procedures, structure, resources and training programme required to ensure that event time operations are managed and maintained to the highest possible standards, in line with or to exceed best practice standards that have been delivered across other international major events and are in line with UAE legislation.  Main responsibilties for this role include: - Produce an overarching university operation plan; - Develop and implement event time plans, procedures and processes that deliver the university visit journey; - Ensure that the environment created for the university groups and students are properly risk assessed, mitigation procedures designed/defined to ensure the Health, safety and Wellbeing of each university group member that visits the site; - Ensure that all event time service provider departments or external companies comply with or exceed the Expo 2020 Health, Safety and Assurance Standards, undertaking audits to support and compliance on an on-going basis; - Develop and implement a plan of organisational resources required to support the effective implementation of the University Visit Programme delivery plans and procedures including people, capabilities, infrastructure and technology; - Develop and implement a training programme, covering all the various training requirements necessary to delivery consistent and high levels of service to this group; - Produce and implement a project management plan identifying key tasks and milestones for the effective implementation of the University Visit Programme during both the planning and delivery phases of the event; - Facilitate and lead the group of cross functional departments who are required to deliver the university visit journey, from arrival at site, through the site during the visit, the process of feeding the students and egress from the site; - Raise issues to Director of Engagement and/or VP of Engagement that need to be resolved at a senior level; - Liaise and share plans with key entities in the education sector and identify strategies to ensure their buy-in and ensure proper record management and follow-up.
المهارات
6+ years relevant experience in the field of operations as well as:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field; ·
- Demonstrated knowledge of requirements to manage programs operationally in large events or theme parks or museums;
- Understanding of the education systems requirements;
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders internally and externally;
- Flexibility and strong communication skills;
- Ability to listen and willingness to learn.
