The Distribution Manager is responsible for managing the Expo 2020 Event Logistics Scheduling, Routing and Logistics Distribution System operations throughout the Load-In, Event and Decommissioning Phases and will provide the focal interface for all Logistics related activities for full function integration The main responsibilities of this role include: - Work directly with Expo 2020 Functional Areas and Departments to identify their scope for distribution services and load-in/out activities at all pavilions; - Assist with the development of the distribution master schedule and demand model; - Assist with the development of a fleet of vehicles necessary to distribute materials and assets including high value items; - Develop fleet management systems and procedures – driver recruitment, training, deployment and welfare - Monitor detailed shipping and ground transportation schedules for purchased FF&E;from suppliers to point of delivery; - Develop Delivery Route Guides for the site and satellite venues; - Establish working relationships with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with Dubai and Emirati traffic regulations and laws; - In collaboration with the Logistics Warehouse and Logistics Coordination Center, assist in coordinating and receiving shipments in and out of the Logistics Warehouses; - On-time Daily, Weekly, and Cumulative reporting; - Responsible for managing all trucks and operational vehicles obtained via Expo 2020 Logistics’ third party logistics provider (3PL).
المهارات
6+ years’ experience in a distribution management role;
- A Bachelors degree within a relevant field;
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing a fleet operations role;
- Experience in contract management;
- Experience in liaising with and managing contractors and third party logistics providers;
- Experience managing personnel and being responsible for a team of individuals
- Experience in the use of scheduling and/or and transport systems;
- Excellent experience in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office;
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English; ability to express complex concepts clearly and simply.
