Duties and Responsibilities:
Secure a written investor’s expression of interest/commercial proposal and ensure compliance with the applicable rules and guidelines of RTA and other stakeholders.
Report monthly on created commercial proposals submitted to investment office commercial operations highlighting any delays and recommendations to the Manager of the investment office and CEO of the Rail Agency.
Providing customer support services to external commercial stakeholders and coordinating on their behalf with the investment office commercial operations.
Participate as a member of the Tender Assessment Team to review submissions by the vendors and to make recommendations on contract award.
Establish and promote the identity for the station’s commercial activities and businesses as a unique trademark (momentum) under the Rail Agency’s network.
Maximize the potential return and revenue to the Rail Agency through recommending the critical factors/conditions for the optimal commercial business model including prices, competition, marketing, and any other factors.
Define commercial projects scope, goals and deliverables in support of the commercial office objectives.
Assess needs for additional resources or consultants and make the appropriate recommendations as required during the project life-cycle.
Perform other related responsibilities associated with the position as appropriate.
Prepare annual and tri-annual commercial/non-fare commercial sales plans including target sales, prices, competition analysis, other enablers for commercial study review.
Illustrate and highlight the critical factors/conditions for optimal commercial sales.
Formulate and review sales strategies and rental targets with investment office manager so as to keep abreast with the market and maintain the competitiveness of the Rail Agency’s commercial investment portfolio.
Achieve approved commercial/non-fare sales targets.
Continuously explore and develop new Commercial and investment initiatives to increase commercial/non-fare sales, add novelty and increase customer service for the railway network.
Conduct and coordinate external market researches as necessary and provide results to investment office planning to eliminate or reduce any uncertainties in the financial model/feasibility for commercial business cases and projects.
Analyse necessary input for reviewing and advising against Contractor schedule cost loading issues and other cash flow related matters.
Interface with developers, and ensure work is completed in time, within budget, within scope, and exceeding quality standards.
Prepare the annual investment plan and ensuring compliance with RTA and the Rail agency approved plans.
Highlight potential investment risks and recommend mitigation options.
Ensure compliance with all commercial policies and processes and recommend modifications as may be required.
