Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as advisor to the CEO with regards to research, development and evaluation of innovative Smart City solutions for RTA with focus on Smart Mobility and ultimate objective of delivering smart city customer experience.
Understand RTA wide business issues, Agencies specific pain points and conduct market research to identify innovative solutions and ideas.
Present the result of research study with solutions and options to the CEO CTSS in alignment with business units goals and objectives.
Work closely with business stakeholders across RTA, present solutions to Agency Senior Management (CEO and Directors) and obtain the buy-in from business.
Develop industry relationships with leading suppliers and vendors of innovative and cutting edge Information and Communication Technologies, Intelligent Transportation Systems and Smart Mobility solutions.
Consolidate and communicate RTA business requirements to vendors and generate innovative ideas for solving RTA business issues and problems.
Work with Agency / business representatives and provide inputs to RfP’s / RFI’s prepared by business units, and participate in vendor identification and selection process, if required.
Manage the development of Proof of Concept and define criteria for success working with business teams and stakeholders.

Conduct workshops, spearhead knowledge management and create awareness on innovative solutions (such as connected vehicles, autonomous vehicles, in-vehicle mobility solutions, public policies, regulations, etc.) and smart technologies within the sector and across RTA.
Provide program management, project management, governance and oversight during implementation of the RTA Smart Mobility Master Plan as per directions from Smart City Committee and in line with RTA future demands and international best practices.
Study international benchmarked ITS projects and recommend how RTA can benefit from similar opportunities.
Review Smart City Strategy, Expo 2020 Strategy, RTA Corporate Strategy, and Dubai 2021 Plan and provide required inputs to RTA Strategic Transportation Plan.
Act as subject matter expert for the CTSS CEO office in areas related to innovations in Smart Mobility, Internet of Things, Open Data, Crowd source transportation solutions, IT/ITS Governance and cutting edge multimodal transportation solutions.
Provide governance and oversight on behalf of CEO office to the EC3 project by collaborating with Corporate IT and ITS Departments in RTA.
Actively participate in local, regional and international ITS/ Smart cities, communities, forums, conferences and contribute towards enhancements of ITS/ Smart cities systems in RTA as well as showcasing excellence in RTA by participating in local and international awards.
Perform other roles and responsibilities related to the position as appropriate.

Qualifications:
Master’s degree in IT/ Computer Science /Engineering: Transport, Electrical from a recognized university.
10 years of international experience in the field of ICT and ITS related transportation projects, programs and systems integration/ or IT systems.
Knowledge of international ITS/IT standards and techniques. Working knowledge of evolving international ITS/IT projects and Smart Mobility initiatives and working practices.
Highly analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining complex work processes.
Computer-literate performer with extensive software proficiency covering wide variety of applications.
Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing.
