Librarian

 Provides instructional leadership in the use of information resources and literature.
 Assists teachers, students and staff in the selection and utilization of appropriate resources, technologies, and general literature.
 Align the library selection of materials with the school curriculum and also individual needs of students, teachers and other users of the library
 Administers and maintains a centre and a program that fosters a positive learning environment.
 Maintains the Library database in accordance with professional standards.
 Selects and orders resources consistent with system policies and with school curriculum needs.
 Establish efficient acquisition and processing procedures
 Partner with teachers on integrating library services and multimedia materials with the school curriculum
 Serve as a resource consultant for teachers, providing ideas and materials for classroom curriculum and acting as an aid in interpreting and communicating intellectual content
 Any other ad hoc responsibility assigned by Principal /VP.
