FOREMAN - WELDER

الوصف الوظيفي
 Ensure all necessary plant and welding equipment are maintained in a current operable and calibrated condition.
 Ensure consumable control requirements are closely followed and workers are properly supplied with tools, equipment and materials.
 Prevent wastage and misuse of equipment, materials and tools.
 Ensure WPS for particular work scopes are displayed and the welders are aware of the requirements and comply with same.
 Exercise discipline at the work site to prevent absenteeism, unsafe work practices and idleness.
 Liaise with other discipline foremen / supervision to ensure the optimum utilization of available resources, with the overall objective of successful completion of the project.
 Assist the senior foreman and supervisors in planning activities.
 Ensure that the workers are properly supplied with machineries, tools, equipment and materials and everything is in proper order and state of maintenance.
 Perform inspections to ensure that the workers performance is up to the set standards.
 Create progress reports on a daily basis and ensure that any significant information is communicated to the supervisor i.e. resource shortfalls, surplus, HSEQ concerns.
 Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
 Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.
 Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head.
المهارات
 Diploma in Engineering or Equivalent.
 Familiarity with welding works with at least 3 years of experience as Foreman or Lead position.
 Knowledge and Experience in ship repair and new building yard.
 Ability to read, interpret and follow method statements and procedures, specifications, drawings, and all other discipline related project and engineering documentation.
 Thorough knowledge in various types steel works, steel structures and welding procedure specifications.
