Senior Quantity Surveyor / Cost Engineer

Job Description and Requirements
POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Senior Quantity Surveyor/Cost Engineer will be accountable for the commercial and cost management of projects, from inception through to tendering. The role involves ensuring all operations are carried out for cost planning and cost reporting. This is all to be carried out working as part of an integrated delivery team and ensuring compliance with the company quality procedures.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• A Bachelor degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
• A Membership (MRICS) of RICS is preferred
• 8-10 years of previous experience of the construction industry, especially in major roads and infrastructure projects

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

• Familiarity with CESMM and FIDIC forms of contract
• Previous experience of commercial management in UAE
• Good knowledge of earned value analysis, estimation and cost analysis
• Excellent communication skills, numeric and computer literacy skills. Ability to produce spreadsheets using MS Excel to collate financial data
• Excellent organization and time management skills, with ability to work to tight deadlines. Ability to work effectively in a team but also able to work on own initiative
• Ability to adapt and challenge
• Confident communicator with all levels of personnel
