Pre-event this role will provide management for four critical cross-department activities central to the achievement of the organisation’s purposes: transition planning, project management, change management and risk management. The main responsibilities for this role include: - Lead author of the Transition Plan for Expo 2020. This document will state the detailed plan for the transition of the organisation into the event-time configuration by Q3 2020; - Contributing author to the ‘100 Days’ Synchronisation Matrix. This document will provide a detailed plan for the synchronisation of all major activities across the Expo 2020 site in the last hundred days before the Main Operations Centre goes live; - Contributing author to the Integrated Venue Timeline, and reviewer of key plans produced by other functional areas, e.g. Security Sweep & Lockdown, Landlord Handover, etc; - Chair the Transition Planning Working Group and participate in other governance and working groups as a subject matter expert as required; - Define, schedule and monitor programme milestones in the Expo 2020 programme management tool (Masar) relating to the Transition Plan for Expo 2020, including the identification of related assumptions/dependencies, and the resolution/escalation of issues as required; - Provide transition planning advice and support to other departments/functional areas, and collect information from the same for the purpose of the development of the Transition Plan for Expo 2020;
- Contributing author to the Change Management Plan for Expo 2020. This document will describe in detail the ten steps the organisation will take to cope with the significant change it will go through between now and the event; - Produce monthly reports on the effectiveness of the change initiatives introduced by the Change Management Plan for Expo 2020 and make recommendations to address any issues identified;
- Identify hazards to the successful implementation of the Transition Plan for Expo 2020, develop the associated risk statements, assess and score the risks, devise risk management plans and monitor the effectiveness of risk controls.
المهارات
6+ years of experience in working on a complex programme/project, perhaps as part of a Programme or Project Management Office;
- A Bachelor’s Degree within a relevant field;
- Willingness to undergo formal and informal training necessary for attaining competence in role;
- Strong facilitation and influencing skills;
- Communicates expectations clearly and proficient in forming ad hoc teams to deliver results;
- Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Project, Excel and Word;
- Experience in working in a multi-cultural organisation (GCC region/Dubai);
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
