Job Description and Requirements
The Opportunity
The Department of Social Sciences invites applications for a full time faculty position (open rank) in the History of the Middle East. Area and historical period of specialization are open but candidates with a focus on the history of the modern Middle East are particularly encouraged to apply.Successful candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate-level courses, including courses on World History, History of the 20th Century, and Middle East history.Other courses include those related to the candidate’s area of specialization,and graduate level courses.

The Requirements
Candidates should have a Ph.D. at the time of appointment and the capacity to teach and research in an interdisciplinary environment.Evidence of teaching and research excellence and experience is important, including the potential to supervise thesis projects.
