Data Modeling Engineer

الوصف الوظيفي
The role of Data Modeling Engineer will be to work with Enterprise architect and Data Engineer to jointly establish and develop methodologies to maintain an Enterprise grade Data Model for Client and describing how data is processed, stored, utilized and archived. He/She will support creation of data structures, data dictionary, data mapping, data quality controls, data storage strategies required to support Client data lake setup for digital transformation program.
Key responsibilities
· Understand and translate business needs into data models.
· Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models.
· Build strategy and process design for managing data quality and data history.
· Develop and maintain a description of the data structures & data.
· Work on modeling/planning data architecture across the data lake.
· Work closely with business & enterprise architecture team to understand the requirements and develop/evolve data models
· Engage with Client DWH team to work on propose improvements
المهارات
Key Competencies
· Data modeler with experience of working with Big Data environment (Cloudera/Hadoop or equivalent).
· Experience of data modelling for SQL and no-SQL environment.
· Expertise in data modeling principles/methods including conceptual, logical & physical Data Models.
· Programming Language design and implementation experience.
· Good communication skills with strong analytical skills.
· Experience in translating/mapping relational data models into XML and Schemas.
Candidate need to have at least 5 years similar experience in a multinational corporate.
