The role
Senior Facilities Manager – Regional Lead MENAP
To manage the development and delivery of effective all-encompassing services at the client site. To undertake the planning and implementation of systems and operating plans to support services. To oversee the day to day delivery of services.
Provide operational advice and guidance to ECM and FM team
Your responsibilities will include:
To be the primary interface for all services within area of responsibility provided – internal and external cleaning, pest control, waste management, MEP services, landscape and horticulture, security, help desk service, health and safety, window cleaning, marketing and events.
Handling selection of contractors, suppliers and specialist service providers.
Ensuring value for money is achieved through robust commercial management of suppliers and measurement of performance.
Ensuring that all Mace Macro International financial and profit targets are met.
Preparing service specifications in line with business needs and current best practise.
Demonstrating compliance to all applicable statutory standards relating to the operation of the services.
Producing ad-hoc reports or proposals as requested by ‘Client and Operations Director’.
Resolving service complaints from occupants of the properties.
Designing, developing and delivering processes, systems and services that support the objectives of the client.
Providing information on performance. In conjunction with management team diagnose, identifying and recommending efficiencies for implementation.
Investigating ways to improve the service to the client site via innovation and development of best practise.
Chairing monthly review meetings to assess service partner performance.
Ensuring welfare, discipline and management of staff.
Ensuring high standard of motivation and performance of the team and reducing attrition rate. Developing training programmes for staff to ensure regulatory compliance and to assist personnel and service development.
Undertaking performance audits and encourage a culture of continuous improvement.
Preparing and managing budgets for service line responsibilities.
Checking overall health, safety and welfare aspects for their site.
Ensuring that all health and safety environment processes, procedures and instructions are implemented and adopted within their respective areas of responsibility, and that any pertinent local operating procedures are established, implemented, reviewed and revised as required.
Ensuring operational health and safety environment compliance on site with applicable legislative, municipal, client and ‘MMI HSEMS’ requirements.
Ensuring that all operational and support activities on site are adequately assessed for risk and that all necessary risk controls and safe systems of work are determined and in place.
Ensuring all site staff are adequately experienced, qualified and trained.
Identifying training needs and ensuring induction training for all new starters.
Ensuring site staff are familiar with and have access to all relevant Macro management system documentation and instructions.
Ensuring that all proposed sub-contracted service providers and suppliers are adequately vetted for management capability prior to award of contract.
Actively monitoring and reviewing all sub-contracted service providers and suppliers on site for satisfactory performance.
Ensuring that all service standards are maintained.
Ensuring that adequate provision is made on site for responding to reported issues.
Reporting monthly to the ‘Operations Director’ on operational performance and any need for improvement.
The requirements
Your knowledge, experience and skills need to include:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a facilities management.
With experience in workplace management – site or operations.
With people management skills and experience.
With knowledge in in health and safety management.
Capable of establishing a good relationship with clients, customers and service providers.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Qualifications
A degree qualification of higher education from an accredited college or university.
