The role
Facilities management engineer
In this role you will oversee all technical services for the contract, with accountability for maintaining an oversight of the building services, fabric and technical operational performance of client’s portfolio.
The facilities management engineer accomplishes project objectives by planning and evaluating project activities during the transition and take over stage as per the best industry practices and in compliance to the company standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing and coordinating planning and reaction to mechanical and electrical technical service delivery for buildings, facilities and equipment across the client’s estate.
Handling performance management of the FM service contractors for various hard services disciplines – e.g. lifts, electrical testing, mechanical and electrical equipment, water supply testing etc.
Formulating develop and implement maintenance strategies (PPM and reactive) that will ensure the schools are maintained and operated to their optimum efficiency.
Developing and maintain technical/operational standards and quality assurance processes for the services being managed.
Providing technical input into the development of the CAFM system
Providing technical expertise, training and consultation to staff, the client and end users particularly for critical and high profile projects where technical architectural issues are a vital consideration.
Undertaking regular client meetings and team meetings.
Ensuring the highest levels of health and safety are achieved across the schools including the implementation of the ‘permit to work’ regime
Handling line management of technical coordinators and condition survey technicians across the client’s estate.
Developing the asset management plan for the client’s estate based on ISO 55000.
Preparing specifications and tender or quotation documentation as required for works in liaison with the commercial team.
Identifying and deploying innovative ways in which technology can be used to continually improve services to the client and end users.
Ensuring that change management and control is enforced across the client’s estate and standards and procedures are adhered to.
The requirements
Your experience, knowledge, and skills need to include:
Excellent multi-disciplinary technical knowledge.
With good organisational, relationship and communication skills.
With strong leadership skills, able to motivate and develop the team.
With experience of negotiating technical services contracts and tendering work.
With 10 years’ experience in relevant field.
With 3 to 5 years’ in GCC.
With 7 years’ experience in management role.
Arabic speaking.
Driving license.
Qualifications
A degree qualification from an accredited college or university in electrical or mechanical engineering.
