CH2M have partnered up to form a joint venture that is leading all real estate and construction delivery related Programme management services for a major exhibition.

It will be the first time that such an exhibition will be hosted in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia Region and it is expected to be a significant catalyst for growth for business across wider region.

As the Programme gains momentum, the Management team are now seeking to appoint a Senior Design Manager responsible for one of the flagship domains of the exhibition. A Design Manager who is able to deal with extreme complexity in a word class setting, working with and managing signature architects would relish such a challenge.

The Senior Design Manager will oversee the Design Brief and scope of work to ensure the design consultant(s) are delivering to the client’s requirements. When necessary, the DM will develop and assist in the processing of change requests, RFI’s, and Instructions to the consultants as well as:-

Review of Design Consultant/Contractor design proposals and end of design stage submissions

Compile and review technical reports for submission
Collaborate with all other disciplines to ensure the work is fully coordinated across the site, integrating programme requirements for a world class site development
Attend and lead regular coordination meetings and special meetings as required
Facilitate the technical review of all design submissions and complete a review of related consultant submittals
Provide responses to the Design Consultant/Contractor’s Request For Information
Host End of Stage design review workshops
Actively participate in Contractor design presentations
Architecture
You be will have at least 8 years experience ideally from an Architectural background that includes managing multiple design projects at the same time and ideally having worked on a previous major iconic development from inception through to construction.

Must have worked with multiple stakeholders and able to develop consensus.

You will have experience with projects that incorporate large events, crowds, and activities.

Are you a Design Manager, having worked with signature Architects with experience on large capital development projects within the UAE?

Preferred Qualifications

Experienced working on the Dubai market and familiar with local planning approval processes would be highly preferable.
