Job Opportunity

The purpose of this position is to assist the System Performance Manager in carrying out data analysis of all aspects of Systems Integration, asset performance, Serco Dubai Metro maintenance and KPI accomplishment performance.

Key accountabilities

Assist the System Performance Managers in failure management track by monitoring and analyzing the system performance data generated from the maintenance management system (MMS), operations control system (OCS) and other diagnostic and tracking tools of the Dubai Metro railway.
Work closely with other performance data analysts to collate system performance data, undertake data cleansing, carry out data analysis, and prepare system failure analysis and key performance indicator (KPI) reports (on daily, weekly, bi-weekly and monthly basis).
Assist the System Performance Manager in preparation of the RAMS monthly report gathering failure reports and producing distribution graphs and trend analysis reports.
Liaison with maintenance section managers, to determine reporting and statistical requirements of each function, in order to ensure effective asset performance management.
Perform and carry out other duties as instructed/directed by the System Performance Manager and Head of Engineering.

Essential technical and professional skills

Higher National Certificate, Technical Diploma or Degree in systems, data science, computer sciences, engineering, business discipline or equivalent
Practical knowledge and understanding of Structured Query Language (SQL), and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
Excellent numerical and PC skills including the use of MS Office (Excel, Word, Access Database, etc.), incorporating Excel formula, macro, and VBA functions
Knowledge and application of Maintenance Management System (MMS), preferable IBM Maximo, and Operations Control System (OCS) for data analysis; Ability to understand complex systems and quickly learn new software-based applications;
Highly motivated and flexible to be able to work in a time-sensitive environment and respond quickly and effectively to unanticipated high workloads, events, and emergencies;
Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment;
Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities
A minimum of 1 year, preferably 2 years, of work experience as a data analyst, system analyst or as an information analyst;
Working knowledge of statistical and numerical analysis and technique in addition to performance analysis, preparations of maintenance procedures and instructions, safety and quality plans and procedures;
Basic understanding of the Engineering components of the track, power supplies, rolling stock, signaling system, automatic fare collection system, communications system, electromechanical and their interfaces is preferable.
