Job Description

Maintenance, repair, modification, fabrication and installation of plumbing system in the yard.

Maintenance, repair and installation of water supply services, waste and drainage systems installed in copper, malleable iron, steel, cast iron, PVC, clay and asbestos cement pipes.



Make joints using solvent cements, screwed ends, push-fit rings and compression fittings.



Install and repair ceramic and stainless steel sanitary fittings.



Use of mechanical equipments used for plumbing works.



Maintaining tools and equipments in safe and sound condition for above projects.



Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.



Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head.

Skills

Secondary Level or Equivalent Education

Fair standard in spoken English and adequate knowledge in writing and reading English.

ITI or Trade Apprenticeship with 3 years experience in similar capacity.

Ability to read drawings to fabricate and carryout plumbing installations.

Capable of working independently to required quality standards.

Should be conversant with Safe Working Practices.
