Job Description and Requirements Troubleshoot, repair and check the generator safety/shut down system and verify correct working condition as per Client / Class. Troubleshoot and verify correct working condition of generator load sharing, parallel operations and synchronization by necessary adjustment on AVR and GOVERNOR. (Must be able to make all necessary adjustments including droop setting). Troubleshooting and rectifying main engine / generator alarm panels, simulating the same and verify correct working condition of the system as per Class / Client. Good knowledge on marine switchgears, troubleshooting the same and make necessary modification if required. Knowledge on any type / make of PMS system preferred. Main engine safety / shut down system to check, verify and simulate all the alarms as per Class / Clients requirement, including OMD calibration / testing. Troubleshooting and rectification of propulsion/steering systems. Troubleshooting, overhauling and carry out current injection tests for various marine approved ACBs. Testing/commissioning of fire detection systems. Maintain good working relationship with workers, appointed foreman, supervisors and management. Perform duties of a Foreman as required / appointed for individual projects. Ensure materials are of required standard prior to use, reporting damages when required. Work within allocated timescale to meet department targets Attend any training for any activity required by the department. Skills Knowledge in electrical and instrumentation aptitude Knowledgeable in power generation and distribution. Knowledgeable on class requirements is preferred. Experience in marine instrumentation and control systems. ITI in Electrical / Electronic or any relevant Discipline Minimum 3 years Experience |
