Job Description and Requirements Read specifications, work list and pre-planning job (Sequence of job, manpower, equipment). Review vessel repair plan, build strategies in order to formalize the optimum utilization of yard equipment and resources Participate in organizing the cutting sequences and block installation works in line with engineering inputs Review Dimension Control reports and guide the team for necessary proceedings to give the best fit for welding. Co-ordination of work progress with SRM, Superintendent, Other trades and with his own Department. Liaise with Invoicers / Estimators to ensure that commercial targets are met. Motivate productive and safe performance of subordinates. Ensure all HSE and Quality aspects are met. Plan one-week manpower requirements. Develop detailed completion program with manpower loading. Provide personnel appraisal & training requirements for subordinates. Motivate, train and develop Subordinates. Productivity measurements to carry out as per Steel department procedures Skills · Diploma in engineering or equivalent · experience in ship repairing and NB yard. · Extensive familiarity with welding works with at least 5 years of experience as lead Foreman or Supervisor in Marine or New building Yard. |
