The Client
The client is a well known real estate group based in the UAE serving clients across hospitality, residential, commercial and industrial sectors.
The Role
We are urgently looking for a Legal Counsel who will provide efficient and effective organizational support to the legal department, providing legal advices and services to the company and its departments.
Main Responsibilities include:
• Ensure that all legal documents are drafted and vetted in the best interest of the company
• Ensure that all company policy and procedures and standard terms and conditions are duly implemented and followed
• Ensure that all litigation matters are handled in timely manner and to the best interest of the company.
• Provide legal opinions on contracts, agreements and other legal documents. Advising departments in the company on various legal issues e.g. rental, contractual.
• Handle important contracts and agreements, handling important litigation values which have significant outcome on the company.
• Drafting, reviewing and revising Lease Agreements, Tenancy Contracts, for residential/ Commercial/ lands (plots), Property Agreements, Termination Agreements, Cases Memorandums and all official documents/ notifications/ letters and legal services related to real estate matters.
• Follow up and negotiate with defaulters on Rents, Service charges, Renewals and agreement’s breaches cases, including issuing the notifications and monitoring the due dates for proceeding with legal procedures before courts.
• Filling Rental cases before Rental Dispute Centre and UAE courts on all related defaulters or non-payment of rent and service charges or non- renewal of contracts and contract breaches, including drafting memos, following up cases.
• Provide relevant required legal consultancies to the management of company and its departments on all real estate matters e.g contracts renewal and expiry, exit clauses, yield up conditions, breaches, rental increase etc.
• Negotiate and communicate with landlords on renewal of lease agreements, violations, evictions, yield up, relocations, termination etc.
المهارات
• Bachelor’s degree in Law from a reputable university
• MUST have Real Estate Experience
• Should be strong in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts and agreements (commercial/residential/lease agreements/rental/retail related).
• Must be experienced in handling arbitration cases and litigation.
• Must be a native Arabic speaker who is fluent in English, contracts to be handled are written in English.
• Knowledge and experience in Dubai Property law.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the UAE.
