Legal & Compliance Counsel

Job Description and Requirements
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for a leading international Investment firm, for their MEA hub in the DIFC, Dubai. Reporting to the General Counsel directly, the new Legal & Compliance counsel will take on generalist responsibilities including:

Advising the business on day to day legal matters
Dealing with commercial legal work such as reviewing and drafting a diverse range of contracts and agreements (such as NDAs, software licenses, term sheets)
Dealing with corporate secretarial requirements (drafting/reviewing minutes, establishment of SPVs)
Dealing with various associated legal forms & submissions
Assisting the General Counsel with corporate transactions as and when needed
Assisting the General Counsel with Asset Management and investment related legal matters
Taking responsibility for the firm’s investment compliance matters, including regulatory compliance and KYC requests
Experience Required:

Qualified Lawyer or minimum LLB, Bachelors of Law Degree
3-5 years experience
The candidate should have had good legal training, preferably within private practice or an in-house role within a professional services organisation or investment firm
Compliance experience is essential, investment compliance is preferred
