Senior Rider Operations Associate (Performance & Planning)

Job Description and Requirements
We’re looking for a talented individual to join our Performance & Planning function within our Operations department. This team is responsible for driving operational efficiency and performance - ultimately ensuring we have the right number of riders on the road at the right time, in the right place. The ideal individual shall be outgoing, ownership-driven, analytical and excited about the opportunity to shape this growing function. This is the ideal role for someone looking to take their analytical and strategic thinking skills into execution, process-building, and iteration to get to operational excellence. There is also scope to own the operational responsibilities of an entire city. In addition, this is a valuable opportunity to gain an understanding of all the moving parts within a successful high-growth start-up in a dynamic city.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Using analytics to improve the delivery network - Increase the availability, reliability and efficiency of the network
Matching supply and demand - Using a range of measures to forecast both consumer demand and rider supply distribution, ultimately ensuring that there are enough riders in the right place at the right time
Continuously identifying opportunities for improvement - Identifying, prioritising, managing, and executing projects (with end-to-end ownership) to improve operational performance in line with business priorities (e.g. target calibration, zone review, network load analysis, baseline financial metrics)
Experimentation - Running tests to explore creative solutions and processes (e.g. a/b testing, process mapping, automation of internal processes)
Working with stakeholders from other departments - Ensuring coordination with operational changes and cross-functional efforts
REQUIREMENTS
1-3 years of hands-on experience in a similar business analyst role
Analytical - Able to use data to extract the relevant information, and identify and resolve issues while demonstrating the use of sound logic. Proficient in Excel, or Google equivalent, with excellent knowledge of statistics. Experience with SQL or other programming languages not required but useful
Strategic Thinker - Demonstrate business acumen and aptitude to think strategically
Effective communicator - Able to disseminate ideas in a clear, concise manner to the relevant stakeholders. Also able to both offer and critique ideas and opinions
Track record of ‘getting things done’ - Willingness to get your hands dirty, and know when you have enough insight to make a call and apply the 80 / 20 rule to execute ‘on-the-fly’
Demonstrated Leader - Ability to lead and develop others- particularly team members from a variety of backgrounds/nationalities. Team management experience at any level is preferable
Inquisitive - Infectiously curious, thoughtful and able to question the status-quo
Resilient - Strong work ethic alongside an ability to tackle and bounce back from complex challenges and issues
