Job Description and Requirements Reporting directly to the Group COO, the head of Marketing, Branding, and Communications will oversee the marketing proposition across all brands. Creating innovative marketing programs aimed at the group’s most profitable customer segments. The candidate will be responsible for identifying macro and micro trends in the group diverse industries and will have led customer segment research initiatives. Will undertake appropriate customer segmentation actions to identify key growth areas like communication, right audience and right time; the position will help develop relevant and sustainable strategies by the brand to increase market share, including expected retained margins. The candidate will have a spark for creating innovative marketing programs that graft seamlessly onto their targeted customer segments. They will be able to mobilize and activate their customers across channels and will have a creative mind. Additionally, our preferred candidate will have a history of delivering compelling advertising work across print, TV, and radio as well as live events. They must routinely develop winning concepts from scratch With the growing importance of digital Space, our preferred candidate will understand how to find their audience online and how to engage with them. Will have a commanding knowledge of the different social media and internet platforms available for campaigns. Our chosen candidate will have a proven history of creating, implementing, and executing successful digital marketing campaigns. They will have a passion for unearthing customer insights and will have a deep understanding of customer behavior. The preferred candidate will have a commanding knowledge of value and price strategy, a broad and deep understanding of the local market, trading conditions as well as key purchase influencing factors in the Middle East. Will monitor competitor activity and identify opportunity gaps that can be capitalized on with its own product portfolio The candidate will have previously created platforms that encourage user-generated content and would have delivered online interactive programs for their customers. They will be able to create a “digital skin” that covers all touch points for the company and even cascades into live venues. In essence, the HOM will be able to lead a digital marketing program from concept through to execution and deliver profitable results The candidate will have the business acumen required to grasp the macro vision of the group and develop a marketing program which supports it. A strategic mastermind the successful candidate will be able to develop short, mid and long term marketing plans for the business and instill the requisite milestone. They will understand how to penetrate the market and move the company’s brands to the desired position. Their strategic skills will be able to focus on long term five-year horizons as well on micro thirty-day goals. They will be able to lead the company through their marketing strategy and get buy-in for it from the most senior team members. They will also be able to measure and report the success of their marketing programs and will be aware of which KPIs to watch and which to create in order to quantify their contribution to the business Candidates will have to influence the organization while at the same time be influenced by the organization. In order to be successful in the role, they will be effective at creating buy-in for their ideas at the Board and Group C-suite level as well as across all other levels in the business. They will be a major force in mobilizing people to follow a new direction and be experts at getting groups to rally around new ideas and concepts. They will understand the process of taking an idea from concept into reality and delivering execution and results.
