The primary function is to be the chief liaison with our US brand Principle on all aspects of Brand Marketing with the primary goal of driving traffic to our stores. At the same time increasing our digital and online presence to grow our database and new guest acquisition.
360 Marketing position:
• Create and deliver annual marketing plan to include:
o Annual product launches
o External off-site events & partnerships
o With Area Managers manage new “Birthday Bear” and “Pay Your Age” programme
o In conjunction with above – newly develop and manage Loyalty Programme and associated new data base
o School Holidays
o Annual Holidays and Events
o Parties
• Working with Finance Manager develop annual marketing budget
• Manage “Cause Marketing” and charity work initiatives.
• Liaise with Government departments for permits and permissions in all countries
• Manage web page
• Working closely with Area Manager, and Merchandise Manager:
o Develop promotions that drive store traffic and spends
o New product launches and associated floor sets
o In store signage and all in-store graphic packages.
• Co-ordinate new store opening marketing:
o Press
o Radio
o Mall management
o Social and digital
o Bloggers and influencers
• VERY hands on, the marketing manager will be responsible for all of the above with a heavy emphasis on Digital Marketing, Social Media and the development of a loyalty programme to drive up our database and reach out to new customer.
Digital Marketing:
• Manage overall social and digital and work with internal and external partners to craft compelling content plans and tactics that raise brand awareness and Guest engagement across multiple digital platforms.
• Should be highly motivated and creative with experience and passion for connecting with current and future Guests. This position is responsible for managing Build-A-Bear’s online reputation and should be an advocate for the company. This position works cross functionally with members of the marketing, US partner PR, store operations, web, creative and merchandising teams.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for managing all Build-A-Bear social platforms and digital content. This position will be responsible for implementing and driving our social and digital content strategy to engage both existing and new audiences. This is a critical role of executing social and content marketing activities across established and emerging platforms that drive engagement. Responsibilities of this position include but aren’t limited to:
• Social Media and Digital Content Strategy
• Social and Digital Content Development and Publishing
• Social CRM / Community Management (monitoring and response)
• Real Time Engagement
• Measurement and Analytics
• User Generated Content
• Influencer Marketing
• SEO
• Social Integration (PR, marketing efforts, promotions, paid media, guest services, etc)
• Management of outside Agency
• Communicating social best practices and industry trends to internal teams.

Qualifications and Experience:
• 5 years social media experience is required. Retail marketing is welcomed but not required.
• Experience in both developing a strategy for a brand with multiple audience segments, and executing against it
• Demonstrates creativity, passion and proven success in social media
• Understands retail and is flexible to change
• Experience with content management systems and publishing
• Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side
• Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest etc.) and how each platform is best utilized to achieve goals
• Passion for developing sound content and developing user experiences that communicate exactly the right message to the right person at the right time
• Maintains excellent writing and language skills
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other team members
• Demonstrates winning social Guest services techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy and conflict resolution
• Possesses great ability to identify potential negative or crisis situation and apply conflict resolution
