Resilience Planning Manager

Pre-event this role will provide management for four critical cross-department activities central to the achievement of the organisation’s purposes: resilience planning and capability development, business continuity and contingency planning, project management and risk management.
The main responsibilities of this role will include:
- Lead author of the Expo 2020 Business Continuity & Resilience Plan. This document will state the detailed plan for business continuity during event-time, and how resilience will be built into key organizational activities and critical services;
- Provide input into the Capability Management Plan, identifying where resilience is lacking and coordinating the rectification of these deficiencies through established project management and governance structures;
- Contributing author to contingency plans developed by departments/functional areas to respond to crises and incidents that exceed a given threshold for probability/impact;
- Provide business continuity and contingency planning advice and support to other departments/functional areas, and collect information from the same for the purpose of the development of the Expo 2020 Business Continuity & Resilience Plan;
- Define, schedule and monitor programme milestones in the Expo 2020 programme management tool (Masar) relating to the Expo 2020 Business Continuity & Resilience Plan, including the identification of related assumptions/dependencies, and the resolution/escalation of issues as required;
- Identify hazards to the successful implementation of the Expo 2020 Business Continuity & Resilience Plan, develop the associated risk statements, assess and score the risks, devise risk management plans and monitor the effectiveness of risk controls;
- Under the guidance of the Integrated Operations Office’s Senior Manager – Risk, collaborate with the Project Management Office for the purposes managing portfolio/strategic level risks relating to business continuity and resilience.
المهارات
6+ years’ experience in working on a complex programme/project, perhaps as part of a Programme or Project Management Office, as well as:
- A Bachelor’s Degree within a relevant field;
- Willingness to undergo formal and informal training necessary for attaining competence in role;
- Strong facilitation and influencing skills;
- Communicates expectations clearly and proficient in forming ad hoc teams to deliver results;
- Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Project, Excel and Word;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
