Job Description and Requirements
To clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment including cleaning and polishing all pots and pans, crockery and cutlery to ensure all equipment is cleaned and maintained to the highest standard.
Responsibility
Empty rubbish bins from the Kitchen area regularly
Clean and sanitize all equipment including all rubbish bins from food production and service areas
Ensure all crockery, pots, pans cutlery, etc are washed, cleaned and maintained properly using specific chemicals and kitchen machinery safely
Wash, scrub Kitchen walls, floors and kitchen areas regularly
Clean Kitchen machinery filters and hoods regularly to maintain equipment to the highest standards
Arrange all silverware, crockery, pots and pans, etc in the correct storage areas
Report all accidents and breakages to the Chief Steward
Work in a safe manner and abide by the Occupational Health & Safety Legislation and Standards
Adhere to Food & Safety Hygiene Standards (HACCP)
Comply with specific guidelines and procedures related to chemicals and cleaning materials
Carry our any other duties as instructed by the shift Supervisor/senior
Skills
Technical
Should have chemical and Kitchen machinery knowledge and experience
Hard
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or Essential Food Safety Certificate (UAE accreditation)
Basic Health & Safety Awareness
Safe manual handling techniques
Solid Understanding of both the company/client policies and procedures
Soft
Must have a basic comprehension of English
Must have basic English-speaking skills
Must be a strong team player
Must be energetic and enthusiastic
Must have good personal hygiene standards
Must have the ability to work under pressure and solve problems
Must have the ability to work with different people
