Security Supervisor

• Plans, schedules, coordinate, and assign work and establishes goals and priorities for subordinate employees.

• Conduct briefings at the start of new shifts to inform Security Officers of pertinent information regarding safety/ security matters.

• Schedules security personnel to cover designated facilities and shifts. Ensure staff are in their assigned area.

• Reviews work upon completion for adherence to guidelines, quantity, and quality standards.

• Resolves problems encountered by employees during the course of the assignment.

• Implements and interprets policies and procedures developed by higher level managers or supervisors.

• Assist in developing, recommending, and coordinating the implementation of new procedures for the assigned functions or unit.

• Respond to calls from security staff from locations which they are deployed.

• Assist with investigations related to theft, injury, or accident, and collect / preserve evidence.

• Contribute to the customer service mission by assisting customers and staff as needed and requested.

• Supervise the control room area and ensure that it runs smoothly.

• Observes activity and traffic in assigned area to enforce Mall rules/regulations; alert visitors of infractions; remove unwanted or disruptive visitors from the Mall premises.

• Monitor registers (site register, lost and found, control room, cargo entrance, key register, visitors register etc) and ensure all entries etc are closed off and are of standard.

• Ensure that there is constant updating and passing of information between the manager / management and the department staff and vice versa.

• Submit daily report after every shift as per the required standard.

• Train all the new security officers regarding all the security protocols of the Mall.

• Monthly appraisals of staff to be conducted and needs for improvement of officers be discussed at meetings with Manager.

• Liaise with security contractor company on issues pertaining to staffing / scheduling and solving staff related matters.
