Field Service Engineer (Mechanical PCE)

Job Description and Requirements
• The Field Service Technician is required to install, commission, maintain, retrieve and where authorized, repair NOV PCE Products according to company procedures, undertake activities in an onshore and/or offshore capacity, as required.
• Investigate and diagnose any deficiency which may impede efficient installation and take the appropriate corrective action to resolve the situation.
• Provide the customer’s representative with sufficient information and guidance to ensure safe and correct task completion.
• Review procedures and drawings of equipment on a regular basis,carry out pre- use inspection of equipment,visual and dimensional by procedure.
• Undertake pre-task safety survey and necessary toolbox/site talks with client prior to equipment being used
• Carry out all work in strict adherence to company procedures
• Liaise with customer and provide on-site feedback pertinent to the task.
• Complete Job packs and competence checklists before demobilisation and ensure that the customer has reviewed and signed service report/competence checklists applicable to the task.
• Provide accurate maintenance and spares usage feedback throughout task.
• Assist with training and competence development of Personnel as required both onshore and offshore.
• Ensure Health, Safety, and Security & Environmental procedures are adhered to.
• Ready to travel on call for both local and international locations
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent with minimum 5 years experience in Oil&Gas;sector.
• Knowledge of Pressure control equipment on installation and commissioning of BOP closing unit, BOP stack, Choke & kill manifold and choke control panel.
• Ability to carry out pressure testing independently on site and at customer facilities following NOV test procedures and API guidelines.
• Good relationship with all Employees and Supervisors
• Good relationship with Client, Supplier & NOV global team members
• Knowledge in Inspection, Measuring Instrument, Basic Computer knowledge in MS Office
• Exposure to pneumatics/hydraulics.
• Good report writing and communication skills
• Able to read and interpret, drawings, diagrams
• Ability to prepare spares list based on BOM of the product.
• Ability to understand requirements as per API Specifications.
