Job Description and Requirements Purchase goods, materials and services to ensure that the company operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply. The job holder will have more technical knowledge, expertise, understanding and will be seen as a specialist within their function. Responsibility and Accountability 1. Manage the buying process for a given set of goods in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets 2. Negotiates for lower purchasing prices on required supplier products and services. 3. Manages, implements, and maintains professional business relationships with suppliers to enhance purchasing quality, cost savings, and services. 4. Qualifies new suppliers and manages the performance of existing suppliers in accordance with supplier management procedure. 5. Manages and maintains supplier quality in accordance with supplier management procedure 6. Collate purchase orders and purchase requisitions in order to order materials, goods and supplies.
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering Minimum of 2 years experience Technical Experience in Oil and Gas industry Behavioral Skills and Competencies: 1. Technical Experience in Oil and Gas industry 2. Ability to interpret engineering drawing and specification 3. Strong Negotiation, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills 4. Demonstrate abilities in communication(both verbal and written), organization, persuasion are essential. Must be able to summarize and present data. 5. Experience utilizing an ERP system, preferably Glovia/Oracle 6. Knowledge about NOV product and services will be an added advantage. |
