Graduate Mechanical Engineer

Job Description and Requirements
JOB SUMMARY: 
Coordinate and collaborate with Senior /Lead Mechanical Engineers to determine project objective for the mechanical team within the project.
Receive and understand appropriate mechanical engineering input and work with other inter-discipline engineers and project team.
Work towards the deliverables provided to the project are technically accurate and within the scope.
Contribute to the mechanical team in order to create a good working environment and a strong team spirit.
Be involved in Feasibility Studies / Conceptual Design / Detailed Design.
Assist others mechanical engineers in key design documents (Piping Stress Analysis, Cathodic Protection, Fabrication, Testing, Data Sheets).
Develop skills in process software such as: AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, PDMS, etc.
Gain knowledge of the following: pressure vessel design, Piping design, 3D modelling
Attend Technical Design Reviews (P&ID;, HAZOP, client and vendor Meetings).
Assist project engineering leads and managers in project design and execution according to contract and client needs.
Write technical reports and scopes of work and Technical Queries.
Interface with other disciplines, and with vendors, and required parties with engineering input in support of activities in design of equipment, component and structure of systems.
Solve problems and discrepancies in work process and request help when needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES: HSEQ
Comply with Company values and QA System
Ensure a design that will operate safely and adhere to the NOV HSE and Quality requirement
Contribute to continuous improvement of HSE and Quality within the project and everyday office environment.
Business
Financial:
Responsible for the completion of tasks and ensures that process engineering deliverable are within allowable budget and time agreed in the contract
Strategy:
Work closely with Mechanical lead to align the strategic decisions with planning activities
Methods:
Carry out tasks given in accordance to the company policies, procedures, etc. Communicate, integrate and cooperate with other discipline to achieve the common goals
Competencies and manning:
Is familiar with the principle of safe pressure vessel and oil and gas processing equipment engineering design
Project Execution:
Execute the projects according to procedures
Follow-up activities within the process group.
Colleague:
Work closely with team members and lead within the project to ensure the quality of documents and deliveries

Ability to plan and organize work flow in efficient manner
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor or Master level in Mechanical engineering or equivalent from a recognized university.
EXPERIENCE: 
A desire to work at NOV and develop a career in engineering and project execution experience in oil and gas projects.
Work experience in a related field an advantage.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: 
Proactive and innovative
Fluent in English and good verbal and written communication skills
Good at working independently and as part of a team
