Director – Maritime Sector Strategy

Job Description and Requirements
Responsibilities

Lead role in establishing, implementing and managing Maritime Strategy & Services goals
Lead role in implementing, monitoring, evaluating and follow-up on assigned Company-based KPIs, the programs and initiatives
Takes the lead role in the development of the overall Company Strategic Directional Road Map
Takes the lead role in the delivery of proper corporate governance, strategy, systems and processes, QMS, Risk Management and Business Continuity, conduct of corporate excellence audit activities
Oversees the continuous development, implementation and review of the Company’s Strategic Plan and Value Scorecard
Takes the lead process owner and facilitator in formulating and implementing frameworks, manuals, audits, maintenance and analysis on all strategic fronts such as quality, governance models, process engineering, and risk
Lead role in the preparation, monitoring, forecast, evaluation and recommendation of financial plans
Direct, review and evaluate departmental business plan and provides appropriate recommendations to the Executive Director of the Company
Empowers team members in order to secure highest commitment levels and achieve excellent performance
Create and sustain a work environment and culture that enables professional development and continuous learning
Lead role in making collaborations both internally and externally in order to achieve more effective and efficient management
Lead role in the development and nurturing of strategic partnerships with the Company’s maritime and non-maritime industry stakeholder
Ensures 24/7 availability via phone/email and other form of communication

Key Skills

Knowledge in implementing ISO and accreditation standards
Knowledge in international Quality System rules, regulations, including planning and program implementation.
Knowledge in Balance Scorecards management
Knowledge of Oracle ERP and Oracle / SAP preferred
Computer Literacy
Fluency in written and verbal English and Arabic
Program and Project Management
Customer service excellence

Essential Requirements

Degree qualified
4+ years experience
Good experience in Quality Assurance Management
Should have experience in ports/ shipping, sea traffic management/ industry trade associations
Open to any nationalities in UAE now fluent in Arabic language

Salary/Compensation

Salary to be used as a guide only and will reflect experience levels and interview performance
Salary is between 45k – 50k AED per month base
Plus excellent benefits (education allowance, 105k air passage entitlement – self, spouse & 3 children)
