Senior Bio Medical Engineer

الوصف الوظيفي
• Inspects, verifies performance, and assists in the installation of new equipment; logs new devices into inventory database upon receipt and inspection. • Assist in repairs, calibrate basic electromedical apparatus, records test data and repair records in a Biomedical Engineering Database. • Assists in the testing and evaluation of electromedical apparatus prior to purchase by the Center. • Performs scheduled periodic maintenance (PM) and electrical safety testing of biomedical electronic equipment. For vendor-serviced equipment, communicates the PM status to vendor and the owner/user departments. • Assists engineer and lead technician in development and preparation of maintenance, calibration, and test procedures. • Upgrades equipment as per manufacturers specification and modifies apparatus as directed by engineering staff. • Reports all problems, inputs from other departments, hazards, and safety suggestions to supervisors as they occur. • Provides operational or safety information to other departments as required. • Works on repairs and periodic testing programs. Receives general supervision in day to day activities, close supervision in special projects. • Contacts vendors and suppliers as required. • Assists in maintaining current technical literature and documentation for hospital and clinical engineering laboratory equipment. • Initiates purchase requisitions for replacement parts and laboratory supplies as needed. • Utilizes technologies for location and tracking of inventory items. • Ability to work under pressure and without direct supervision. • The candidate should have the ability to understand and acquire the information by studying the biomedical equipment manuals, and communication with manufacturers. • Sufficient knowledge of healthcare facility different departments ( LAB, LAB-PATH, CSSD,CLINS, DENTAL,OPTHAL,ENT ) • Fluent in English language (Speaking and Writing) • Performs other job-related duties as and when requested.
