Job Description and Requirements

What are
my responsibilities?

Based in Dubai, UAE, you will be a trusted advisor and as such counsel business partners from the Digital Industries and Smart Infrastructure Operating Companies as well as all Portfolio Companies on all upcoming legal topics related to their business in the United Arab Emirates and other countries of the Middle East excluding Saudi Arabia.
You will lead a team of currently four
legal professionals
You will manage local court cases and the
defense strategy to be aligned with LC LIT, to be affected through the mandated
local law firm(s)
You will ensure effective legal risk
management (e.g. LoA, ERM) by addressing legal risks and opportunities, applying
a legal and entrepreneurial perspective and exploiting the opportunities law
provides. Herby you will independently form decisions and assume
responsibility for them
The implementation of legal processes
required to affect the privileges, obligations and rights of the organization
will also be part of your responsibility
Having disciplinary responsibility as a
team leader you will manage work allocation within the assigned team and
external providers. In this aspect you will align with other team heads to
ensure the shift of tasks to utilize the works forces within the legal
department reasonably and to avoid overloads and capacity bottlenecks
Furthermore, you will secure the
exchange and extension of knowledge within your and other legal teams by
holding as well as preparing presentations
What do I need to qualify for
this job?

You have an excellent academic record in
law or were able to acquire such knowledge in the course of an
equivalent international diploma
During your long term experience you
held different legal positions within Siemens or equal positions in an
international law firm or legal department
You have detailed knowledge of foreign law
systems and a great understanding of legal and economic correlations;
knowledge of Technology Transfer law would be beneficial as well
Strong, intercultural communication skills
support your ability to explain complex legal and contract management matters
and compliment your strong drafting and negotiation skills
You are fluent in English and able to
work cooperatively and collaboratively within the legal team; further languages
would beneficial as well
