About the Role:
Head of Policies and Strategic Research is responsible for the identification, development and delivery of policies and initiatives related to the UAE’s Science Ecosystem and Advanced Sciences Agenda.
The role is nearly established and the team for it is foreseen to be small and operating with high- level direction.
The role will represent the office at meetings and maintain relationship with key stakeholders and partners along with identifying potential for collaboration.
The role will also generate white papers on the science directions and impact reports on global development in sectors capitalizing on science and technology.
The responsibilities of the post and the structure will be periodically reviewed.

- Experience of designing and conducting research on social policy issues or and academic research environment.
- Experience of developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
- Experience of translating complex information effectively for different audiences.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong people skills, able to influence and negotiate at the highest level, and to develop strong working relationships with people at all levels.
- Excellent communications skills, able to write accurately and for different audiences on complex research and policy issues.
- Ability to think strategically and understand organizational goals.
- Ability to work as part of a team and to participate in its development.
- Organized and methodical, able to plan, priorities and manage a diverse workload.
