Unit/ Department: Legal
Job Purpose: Handle the full range of the group’s legal issues, and be responsible for advising on commercial and business development arrangements. Monitor the risk environment and act to reduce the group’s risk exposure. Suggest process improvements for the legal team.
Key Accountabilities:
Research & Transactions

Conduct research in respect of various legal matters, court’s precedents, jurisprudence and other legal subjects

Legal Support
Work with external counsel and other third party service providers

Span of Communication
Internal: Legal Department

External: Advisors

Qualification, Skills and Experience:
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor in law with 3 to 5 years’ post-graduation experience preferably with focus on paralegal and contracts management systems

Preferred Experience:
3 to 5 years’ experience in a law firm or corporate legal department

Job-Specific Skills:
Knowledge of Practical Law, Westlaw, Thomson Reuters, Contract Express, and/or similar contract management systems is a plus;

Experience with:

legal operations, paralegal and document drafting, sales, agencies, distribution, POAs, Articles of Associations, MoUs, contracts, etc.;

Mastering legal ratios, legal budget, financial arrangements, compliance and ethics programs and trainings;

Compiling information for court cases and/or external counsel;

Conduct legal research, finding court decisions, laws or similar regulations;

Experience with outsourcing legal services and liaising with external counsels;

Manage the litigation process and report litigation. arbitration and international law basic knowledge is a plus;

Use of systems, technologies, processes and procedures for the identification and cost efficient management of litigation and litigation-related risk

Arabic language is a must, Spanish, French or Chinese Languages are a plus;
