Job Title: Civil Inspector
Contract Duration: 26 months
Working hours: 6 x 10 hour days
QC Civil Inspector:
* Responsible of Quality inspections of civil and steel structures activities as per standards and specifications (e.g. excavation and backfilling, concrete pouring checks, steel structures erection);
* Responsible of review and preparation of red mark-up drawings and documentation,
* Responsible of maintaining status and records of certification;
* Basic Functions: The basic function of the QC Civil inspector is to perform inspection services to verify the quality Sub-Contractors work during the course of the projects.
Scope:
The inspector will monitor and/or perform quality activities at all stages of projects. The incumbent will ensure Sub-contractor’s work is in compliance using good knowledge of Civil international engineering requirements, standards, procedures, specifications, and Schedule of the project contract.
Principal duties:
1-Perform “Hold”, “Witness” and “Surveillance” inspections and tests at manufacturing facilities or construction sites to ensure compliance with Contract requirements and project specifications.
2-Inspect material and equipment as applicable to ensure compliance with CONTRACT requirements for proper handling, storage and protection at facilities and/or construction sites.
3-Monitor Contractor’s Quality Systems, records and Quality Personnel for compliance with requirements.
4-Review and evaluate Contractor’s Quality document submittals.
5-Witness on-site and off-site material and installations tests for compliance with CONTRACT and standards.
6-Record legibly and accurately all controversial and non-complying construction practices, materials and equipment and report to supervisor detailed potential problems for early resolution.
7-Write inspection reports and initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Worksheets and Equipment Deficiency Report as needed.

* Education: B.S degree in Engineering in a respective inspection discipline with at least ten (10) years of experience in relevant inspection discipline.
Resume reflected good working knowledge of quality system standards and method. Candidates with working experience on Aramco/ADCO/ADNOC projects will be preferred Resume reflected as a minimum one (1) year direct experience in the evaluation of Batch Plants and Civil Testing Laboratories capabilities and safety to meet the Company requirements which include review and control of full-scale plant trials (concrete/asphalt/precast) to determine the required engineering properties.
Resume reflected as a minimum one (1) year direct experience in the civil materials field/laboratory Resume reflected knowledge/experience in refractory, fire proofing and structural steel (if job require)
General Requirement: In addition to listed minimum requirements, personnel listed here-under shall have the following general requirements:
1-Fluent command of the English language (spoken and written)
2-Good working knowledge of standard PC workstation usage and basic M.S Office software applications
3-Must have good vision (20/20 normal or corrected) and be in good physical condition
4-Possess valid UAE driver’s license
