Job Summary
The manager will be responsible for organizing and monitoring the storage, transportation and distribution of goods.
Job Responsibilities
Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services
Assess and recommend ideal transportation methods, routing or carriers to meet necessary parameters, specifications and costs
Resolve all problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or custom issues
Keep track of quality of local distribution costs & warehouse cost and the efficiency
Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed and products are delivered to the clients in a timely fashion
Plan vehicle routes to ensure product freshness and cost saving
Manage onboarding of the new logistics partner systems; coordinate with the logistics and operations team to ensure all transitions are smoothly integrated in to the business
Liaise with procurement and demand planning team to develop a transportation strategy
Reduce the internal damages of goods; ensure that the coworkers are transporting these goods to the store with proper care
Responsible for follow up with the transporters and to report any delay in shipment and customs clearance
Responsible for increasing the efficiency of the warehousing and replenishment tasks within the store

المهارات
Requirements

• Should have a Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 3 years of experience in management within a food distribution environment in the UAE
• Effective track record of handling projects in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of Customs Clearance, Transportation, Warehouse Operation, Inventory Control
• Preference for a full understanding of complete supply chain management process
