Thermal Spray Deputy Supervisor

الوصف الوظيفي
• Manage and lead the workshop thermal spray team to meet weekly, monthly and quarterly production schedules.
• Ensure the appropriate scheduling and maximum utilisation of all the Thermal Spray equipment in order to meet current and future production schedules, quality and cost requirements.
• Supervision of the Thermal Spray section in order to meet all production targets and objectives.
• Continual improvement of all thermal spray processes with the objective of reducing costs, improving quality and coating process repeatability.
• Development of all required Thermal spray jigs, fixtures, metal masks and other process controls.
• Monitoring and measurement of thermal spray critical process factors.
• Ensure all stocked Thermal Spray consumables are maintained at appropriate levels in order to meet present and forecasted demands.
• Communication with all workshop staff on any relevant issues relating to Thermal Spraying.
• Responsible for technical communication with third party vendors to ensure all sub contract thermal spray repair operations are performed correctly.
• Ensuring that all repair planning is completed in accordance with the Company’s Quality System Procedures.
• Liaise with customers and visitors in the workshop.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation within the workshop and associated yard areas.
• Maintain and manage all health, safety and environmental hazards within Thermal Spray section in line with the company’s IMS requirements.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Repairs Manager
• Commitment to understanding, improving, communicating and developing the Company’s Integrated Management System of Quality, Health, Safety & Environment.
• To promote safe working and conditions in accordance with all company Health, Safety and Environmental rules and recommendations, and be proactive in maintaining a safe working environment.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Suitable candidates should have the following skills, knowledge and experience:
• It is a must that the candidate have a Gas Turbine Experience
• High School Leaving Certificate or relevant extensive experience in similar field
• Fully competent operator skills in Air Plasma Spraying.
• Good English communication skills (read, write, speak)
• Effective Leadership and man-management skills in a workshop production environment
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent Listening skills
• Effective Problem Solving and Learning skills
• Knowledge and appreciation of the essential factors affecting cost of Thermal Spray processes and ways in which to control these costs
• Good general knowledge of gas turbine component design features, materials, and geometry.
• General knowledge of a range of components and thermal spray applications.
• General knowledge of the different types of thermal spray powders, spray processes and applications.
• Excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of the Thermal Spray process, including effects of process variables, causes of coating defects and coating quality control requirements.
• Experience in planning and scheduling work within the thermal spray section to meet workshop monthly production schedules
• Prior leadership experience in a workshop team environment
