• The Accountant monitors the business activities of the organization through the maintenance of ledgers and the control of books of accounts. And applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by compiling information, preparing profit and loss statements, and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures.
• Responsible to train and develop the juniors to perform properly their duties and responsibilities according to the local accounting standards and group policies and procedures.
1.DATA ENTRY
a) Update, transact and record all journal entries
b) Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements that are required by the Group Policies and Procedures.
2.CONTROL AND SUPERVISION
a) Control, analyze and examine the accuracy and compliances of accounting records transacted by team and ensure the coherence with the policies, processes and procedures.
b) Compile, enter and post monthly adjusting journal entries.
c)Manage the Accountants’ time management and efficiency in delivering tasks and meeting deadlines.
d)Examine the payments preparation processes and documentations.
e)Check the daily bank deposit.
f) Ensure the daily filling system for financial and non-financial documents.
g) Help the team in dealing with the daily challenges that affect the department overall performance.
h) Suggest new controls and systems to improve the control system, deliverables and performance.
i) To maintain secrecy of financial information of the organization.
3.REPORTS AND AUDIT
a) Assist in preparation of Management reports
b) Preparation of Audit files
c)Providing professional and administrative support during audit exercise.
4.RECONCILIATION
Reconcile periodically the bank accounts, suppliers, sub-ledgers accounts, accruals accounts, etc.
5.CASH AND BANK
a) Preparation of daily cash & bank status report
b) Plan & suggest strategies for maintaining adequate liquidity in the system.
c) Prepare rolling cash and bank forecast
6.RECORD KEEPING:
Proper record keeping that ensures safety of documents, Fast retrieval of data and documents as and when there is a need from management/other authorities.
Experience in Budgeting and Costing Analysis,LC’s,Taxation,VAT.
المهارات
Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree in Accounting /Commerce/Finance
7+ Years of Quality experience as an accountant from reputed companies
Proficiency in English.
Computer Literacy: Microsoft Office, Internet Browsing, Basic Accounting Software.
