Principal Public Health Engineer
Working within a multi-discipline team of architects and engineers providing a comprehensive design service to our clients.
The successful candidate will provide Public Health Engineering design expertise on a variety of projects. You will work on projects at all stages of the design process, from inception to completion.
You should be conversant with the design and specification of domestic water services, above ground sanitary plumbing, rainwater systems and underground drainage.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced design engineer to work within an internationally renowned consultancy, affording the opportunity to work on large scale multidiscipline projects.
Responsibilities:
To undertake Public Health Engineering design
Preparation of design calculations on industry standard software
Preparation of technical specifications and reports
Checking design calculations, drawings and specifications prepared by others
Undertake site surveys and inspections and monitor site works
Able to manage own workload
Coordination of Public Health Engineering services with other disciplines
Ensuring Public Health Engineering design quality is maintained

المهارات
Requirements:
Significant experience working in a design consultancy - experience of working within a contractor environment is additionally welcome
Conversant with the design and specification of domestic water services, above ground sanitary plumbing, rainwater systems and underground drainage
An understanding of the design of fire suppression systems will also be an advantage
Good level of computer literacy in Windows and Microsoft packages - an understanding of AutoCAD/Revit is beneficial
Capable of accurate work under pressure and able to work on several projects simultaneously
Able to innovate new solutions as well as applying existing solutions to problems.
Able to make decisions, act on own initiative and operate in a pro-active manner
Good communication and report writing skills, able to represent the Public Health Engineering discipline at internal meetings and client and contractor meetings
