Junior Buyer/ Buyer - Boyswear

A well-known retailer based in Dubai has the job of a Junior Buyer, to come on board of its Boys department within Childrenswear. You will be key in sourcing a commercial range to exceed the sales expectations. The role needs this person to understand the full buying process working with factories in order to gain best costs to achieve margins.

As a Boyswear Junior Buyer, you will:
Sourcing and building a balanced, commercial, and profitable rangeEnsuring the smooth running of the department. Work on the critical path managementIdentifying new trends and opportunities to grow sales and profitMaintain and continually build strong relationships with lateral teamsNegotiating cost prices with suppliers and identify new suppliersEvaluating sales history and customer information together with trends to develop a strategyWorking with factories on the Critical path limelines and ensuring all samples and bulk production is on time as per business needs

Skills and experience needed:
Senior Assistant Buyer or Junior Buyer experience is essentialBoyswear or Childrenswear or Kidswear experience is essentialA full understanding of the Buying and Merchandising LifecycleUnderstanding of product development is necessaryExcellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to conversate at all levels including Senior ManagementExcellent negotiation skills working with Far East SuppliersAwareness for trend and productConstantly seek opportunities for development and will take on tasks above and beyond your current role
