As a Procurement Specialist you would be responsible for ensuring internal customer satisfaction related to sourcing and procurement, and deriving maximum value from purchase expenditure, while maintaining supply continuity.
You would also be negotiating with both, local and international vendors to procure the commodities at the best price.
You would be accountable for
- processing approved requisitions from user departments for the purchasing materials and equipment from approved vendors in local and international markets.
- guiding the user departments to comply with approved sourcing policies, business engagement, Delegation of Authority Matrix and Code of Business Conduct.
- optimizing savings by coordinating alternate sourcing of materials and price negotiations.
- ensuring uninterrupted supply, timely delivery and maintenance of quality requirements of materials, equipment and services
المهارات
To be successful, you would ideally possess 3 years’ experience in a purchasing role, along with a relevant degree (Technical degree, IT, Business, Supply Chain Management or Certification in Materials & Service Management).
You would also need to be a firm negotiator, with a good knowledge of the relevant markets.
A strong knowledge of handling low value (stock) procurement items, high value complex procurement agreements and expediting, along with a working knowledge of Oracle Systems would be beneficial.
