Our client is now recruiting for a General Manager. You will be directly reporting to the Chairman/ Vice Chairman
Job Purpose
Strategize, direct & lead all short & long-term growth initiatives, with overall objective of maximizing revenue & profitability.
Principal Accountabilities
Strategic
• Develop and communicate the company’s vision, strategic direction and annual business plan; ensure compliance of business activities to the overall vision of the organization
• Lead and facilitate strategic and business planning, ensure effective implementation of plans to achieve the desired financial and non-financial goals
• Evolve the company’s business model in line with industry trends and benchmarks for enhanced contribution to all stakeholders
• Actively seek to grow the organization’s business by seeking out new clients
• Conduct annual customer surveys to determine customer satisfaction and unmet needs
• Develop, manage and strengthen strategic alliances with key internal and external stakeholders
• Identify organization wide strategic issues and concerns and resort to appropriate actions to address such issues.
• Periodically evaluate the performance of the departments
• Track market developments, stay abreast of new delivery channels, products and services to provide guidance to business units
• Represent the organization and create presence through various commercial bodies and institutions within UAE
• Stay involved in the day to day business activities of the organization and communicate with department heads in a timely and accurate manner
Process/Operational
• Lead and direct new projects, geographies and segments
• Initiate, advocate and implement business
• Give strategic advice to business committees/forums and set a stated purpose and working objectives for them
• Chair and contribute to monthly and quarterly business performance reviews and Executive Committee meetings
• Approve and endorse the annual financial statements
• Lead pricing, product & market strategies
• Participate in supplier negotiations at critical points
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization, allocate responsibilities/ initiatives appropriately for implementation and monitor the progress regularly.
• Monitor key reports on regular basis to exercise operational control on organizational performance.
• Establish necessary structures, policies and procedures to lead and smoothly manage organizational growth and change.
People
• Train and develop direct reports for deeper managerial skills
• Identify and groom high performers and potential leaders as part of the succession planning process
• Ensure attraction, retention and skill development to create a high performing talent pool
• Ensure adequate working capital
المهارات
Minimum Requirements
Specific Knowledge
• 10 - 15 years of experience in the Real Estate & maintenance industry in the UAE or GCC
• 5-8 years of experience of leading a company in the real estate or maintenance space
• Must be a qualified Mechanical/Civil Engineer
• Sound knowledge of business practices in the UAE or GCC
• Knowledge of quality norms and tools
