Business Development Manager/Sales Leader
For a Fast Growing Media Tech Company
Job Purpose:
Commits to and achieves company sales targets and growth objectives set by top management through personal sales leadership. Will gradually be responsible to recruit and develop a sales team. Plays a key role in commercial decisions & actions.
Key Responsibilities:
Owns and manages the Sales Strategy:
Key Account management:
Attracts and retains key account (direct clients and agency) by leading and implementing a contact strategy.
Leads the key account penetration activities and build relationships, loyalty and repeat clients to achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly targets.
Sets Procedures and Strategy:
Formulates and maintains COMPANY Sales Standard Operating Procedures. Sets and controls basic call procedures, frequency of visits to ABC type of customers, focus of sales activities to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of the sales force.
Formulates strategies and action plans to achieve COMPANY sales and margin objectives.
Pricing policy:
Monitors pricing policies to guarantee sales development & margin target objectives
Approves special price requests to optimize profitability target
Supervise/supports marketing activities, event organization & promotional activities:
Gathers market information and competitors’ activities. Shares relevant information with management and team members to enable improved field engagement and decision making
Prepares & follows up on key customer activities to exceed satisfaction and generate additional business.
Develops and Leads team performance:
After establishing a personal sales track record, the BDM/Sales Leader will be responsible for recruiting, onboarding and managing new team members:
Participates actively in the selection and recruitment of new sales staff.
Plans and conducts required sales training programs for sales force to develop skills, knowledge, cultivate competence and professionalism among the sales team
Regularly accompanies sales executives to client meetings to assess, coach and develop their skills and performance.
Sets targets and reviews performance regularly – weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually. Rewards good achievement and takes corrective actions with under performers.
Work Relationship:
Internal - Reports to CEO; Supervises COMPANY sales force; cooperate with COMPANY other department’s managers (Marketing, technical, operational, financial, tech & IT etc.)
External - COMPANY direct customers or agency, active membership in the local/regional industry related organizations.

Requirements:
Education: Graduate preferably with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or equivalent discipline.
Relevant Experience and Motivational Fit:
1 Minimum of 5+ years of experience in dealing with direct clients and agency.
2 Minimum 2+ years leading sales teams.
3 Possesses broad knowledge in the Media & Tech industry. Is passionate & enjoy working and networking in within such industries.
4 Likes working in young / fast-paced yet demanding environment.
5 Commands good oral and written communication skills in English (Arabic desirable): able to organize ideas and formulate oral/ written messages appropriate to listeners and situations
6 Computer and tech user/literate
