Our subsidiary, Avatar Composites are looking for a CAD Designer to join their team.
The CAD Designer is responsible for all the architectural, shop and as built drawings related to a project. The Designer coordinates with the Project and Production Team to ensure quality is as per the standards of the drawings for each individual project.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
• The Designer creates the shop drawings for each project by receiving the scope of works in the project
• The Designer must understand exactly what type of project that has been awarded and ensure the correct system is used for the required drawings
• The Designer will receive the architectural and structural drawings from the Client to review and check that they are the most recent and updated drawings for the particular building
• Ensure that all details and requests are accurate to the Client or Consultants requirements
• Once the drawings are completed, liaise directly with a Structural Engineer to inspect the site as per the drawings
• Submit shop drawings to Client or Consultant for final approval
• If approved, understand which status this has been approved under – A or B
• After the drawings are approved, the material take-off can begin
• Request the Project to complete a site survey to proceed with the production order
• Once the material take-off is completed, the publication drawings and execution on site can proceed
• Ensure that the Project Engineer instructs all workers to adhere to the installation drawings provided by the Designer
• After execution and once the project is completed, the Designer must create and complete the As Built drawings prior to handing these over to the Main Contractor and the Consultant or Client on behalf of the Company.
المهارات
• A degree in Design, or similar qualification
• Completion of Auto CAD and additional required software
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
