The Company:
A mid-size services company originating from Dubai
The Role:
Initiates and leads initiatives in support of our People and Culture in line with the Company’s Principles and working closely with senior management with the strategic aspect of taking the company to the next level. The company has around 150 staff members with a 4 Staff HR team
Major Responsibilities:
• Plan and Implement a companywide HR strategy and lead the HR department.
• Play the role of a HR Business partner and contribute in enhancing employee productivity across functions
• Strategically provide consultation and executive coaching to Leadership team.
• Advising and guiding management in best practices across region and industry.
Project Management:
• Develop and implement the elements of a high performing, sustainable organizational framework that achieves operational excellence
• Continually assesses the effectiveness of the organization’s business model and organization dynamics and leads efforts to realign/refocus as needed
• Partner with the Senior Leadership team to ensure alignment to the Vision.
• Identify, develop and roll out initiatives, methodologies, strategies, processes, policies, and plans that build a robust, sustainable organization across all departments and functions.
• Through the performance management systems ensure all functional areas have goals which are fully aligned to organizational strategy.
• Identify areas for system/process improvements which deliver enhanced corporate performance whilst maximizing employee engagement.
• Effectively run the performance appraisal process at all levels and build synergies in KPIs across three levels
• Provide guidance and support to Leadership and Managers to ensure timely execution of PMS Facilitate in building high performance teams while setting SMART Goals in a Balance Scorecard framework
• Implementing employee rewards & recognition programmes
• Create transformation plans which deliver the required changes.
Organisational Development & Training and Development:
• Optimize organization effectiveness. Initiate, lead and deliver results on projects related to organizational design, development of organizational capabilities, alignment of people and business strategy, performance improvement or employee engagement
• Oversee the Learning & Development function and develop employee training programs, with a min of 1.5 training days per employee
• Conduct the Employee engagement survey and implement the action items to ensure enhanced engagement scores between 85-90%.
• Anticipate the key business opportunities and/or challenges of the business arising from changing business models and design and establish the best operational solutions for achieving desired results by ensuring the strongest infrastructure, the best people and the most robust and innovative systems and processes.
• Formulate annual plans and program curriculum, ensure effective implementation and evaluate effectiveness
• Bring in market best practices and new L&D;trends, measure and benchmark on the return of investment on L&D;initiatives
• Prepare and monitor the related budget and prepare L&D;reports
Recruitment:
• Lead, design and implement the recruitment strategy and talent acquisition program
• Managing the Talent acquisition function : Pre hiring assessment process, Hiring process, Ref checks and ensure positions are filled in as per SLAs and ensuring quality of new hires.
• Work closely with the senior/ line managers to establish recruitment process and ensure the use of best practices and tools to attract & retain right talent and control attrition.
• Conduct job analysis to write job descriptions and develop job competencies
• Develop a framework to identify and address succession planning needs for development of top talent
Employee Relations:
• Directs employee relations and development activities. Provides counsel and training to managers and supervisors regarding positive employee relations and engagement efforts.
• Create a culture of high Employee Engagement through activities and processes which create a merit-based culture for employees and delivers a highly motivated, loyal workforce.
• Serve as a link between employees at all levels.
Policies, Procedures & Code of Conduct
• Develop and implement a human resources plan and personnel management policies & procedures
• Addressing Employee issues: grievance disputes, ER issues, indiscipline, counselling and terminations in accordance with company values, policies and procedure
• Ensure MOL complaint practices
المهارات
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or equivalent
• Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) essentail and or an MBA
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in HR with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Experience working in mid size group
• Local experience with multinational or technology companies
• Leading and managing change
• Coaching and mentoring across various levels
A working knowledge of Gallup performance review
• Abreast of local/international HR trends
