Our client is one of the Middle East’s well-established and large scale IT operation and development program, developing IT solutions for their Airline and Airports as well as selling IT solutions and products to other airlines.

As Senior Technical Engineer - Software Development your responsibilities would include:
To design & Support IT solutions for the Group. Working as part of a design & support team, the Senior Technical Engineer will design, develop, support and deliver robust and cost effective solutions for both Business and IT led initiatives including solution development and cost estimations, configuration and deployment & Business Case development & approval.To support, contribute and ensure solution compliance to the architecture, production processes, and other IT standardsTo support, contribute and ensure development of the roadmap of the concerned technology roadmap aligning with IT strategy.Designing and developing advanced middleware services for the mobile platforms.Unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability using a Test Driven Development approach.Able to work efficiently and effectively in an Agile process environment.Collaborating to continuously improve team development practices and processes in that regard.Able to break down down complex technical problems into simple, implementable solutions.Maintain a full and complete understanding of solution interdependencies and limitations and backend Java development life-cycle.Help realize practical and robust middleware architecture for Mobile applications.Support and control the technical factors related to the resilience, performance, quality, and responsiveness of systems.Ensure and control code quality and development level testing.

The successful candidate will possess the following skill sets:
Degree in a subject relevant to IT7 years of specialized technical experience, within a business IT environment.CMMI and ITIL frameworksDevelopment technologies J2EE, Spring, JSF, Hibernate, MQ, XML, Web Services, JavaScript etc., in an Enterprise environment nd GUI Technologies /Web/Think Client* Server: Core Java, Java EE (EJB 2/3, JMS, Web Services), Spring, SOA, Hibernate, Drools, JBPM, Weblogic/JBoss, Oracle, MySQL* Thick Client: Core Java, Swing, Spring * Web: Core Java, Spring, JSF/Tapestry/Rich Faces, Servlet, JSP, AJAX, JBoss.NET* ASP, .Net 2.0, Scripting-Javascript, HTML, XML, CSS, Ajax, ADO.NET, winforms 2.0Database Design and Implementation - Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server and database scripting. Advanced PL/SQL development, performance tuning, Security and Privileges. DB environment optimization. Knowledge on IAS, PHP, ETL, Network and I/O related conceptEnterprise Application Integration : JBoss, TIBCO, ETL, Middleware transformation technologies, Messaging/MQ/MSMQ, SOA/Web ServicesALCS or TPF Assembler, Mainframe data and CICS transactionsTPFDF, SPMs (Structured Programming Macros), IBM Assembler (S/390), Departure Control System (DCS), Check in, Weight and Balance, Immigration (API, AQQ, APP) , Inter airline through check in (IATCI) * Reservations (RES), Edifact and Teletype, Availability, Inventory, Schedules, Fare Quote and Ticketing (FQT), Interline Electronic Ticketing (IET),Pricing , Ticketing , Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD)* ALCS systems, ALCS, Message Switching, Links, Offline, T2SE XML scripting8 years of Java programming experience.Experience with travel related sy
