Job Responsibilities:

• Modelling, transforming and validating data with the purpose of understanding or making conclusions from the data for decision making purposes
• Convert business problem in to Data problem and apply suitable analytical methods to arrive at data solution and translate further into business solution
• Apply statistical (descriptive statistics/Inferential statistics) and data mining techniques for problem solving
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and present the findings using appropriate visualization tools
• Work with cross locational teams to prioritize business and information needs
• Develop and implement analytical solutions as per the business strategies.
• Explore newer, simpler and effective analytical solutions in order deliver projects.• Guide team members on projects in the areas of scoping and execution

Job Requirements:

• Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst in the area of Business Intelligence and Analytics. (Relevant experience of atleast 2 years or more)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Not to get tool minded but to get Analytical and problem solving approach, For example, its important to understand the concept of customer loyalty while creating a Loyalty report or while creating propensity models.
• Strong knowledge of and experience with databases and programming (SQL)
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (SAS, R, etc)
• Proficient in MS office tools like Excel- Advanced and Macros, Powerpoint, and word.
• Proficient in process automation using VBA
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
• Ability to work independently with various stake holders/partners and a strong team player• Graduate/Engineering/Masters in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
