JOB PROFILE
The A/C Technician(Forman) is responsible for overall maintenance of A/C units in all areas and for performing a variety of maintenance tasks as required. He will also be responsible for regular inspection, preventive and routine maintenance of A/C units and preparing all tools for the assigned tasks as well as pre and post-job clean-up.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Regularly inspect all A/C units (both DX and chilled water types) and detect any needed repairs in all facilities and ensure that the issues are rectified within minimal timeframes following the safety procedures.
• Perform variety of maintenance tasks in order for the A/C units to function properly at all times and according to safety standards.
• Follow all proper safety procedures in all aspects of work to ensure the safety of staff as well as property.
• Perform installations for decorative AC units when required.
• Prepare and maintain all various tools required for the assigned tasks to ensure all the proper tools are readily available to complete the task on time.
• Provide service independently for various jobs to ensure the tasks are completed within the desired timeframes.
• Work independently with helpers to complete the task with approval of direct supervisor.
• Clean all work areas once the job is completed to ensure that all job sites are clean and neat.
• Clean air conditioning and heating units for the purpose of ensuring units are operating efficiently and correctly.
• Assist the maintenance team in all requests including emergency tasks to ensure that the issues are rectified in a timely manner
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Diploma in Mechanical or HVAC systems
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience as an A/C Technician in a construction or maintenance industry.
• Good level of English.
• Demonstrate skills for efficient A/C maintenance work and attention to detail
• Ability to diagnose and resolve problems.
• Ability to install units or supervise installations
• Ability to operate and effectively use various tools and machineries
• Must have basic knowledge in computer operation.
