Faculty Positions in Industrial Engineering

Job Description and Requirements
The Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah is seeking to fill two faculty positions in industrial engineering in the subject areas of project management and engineering management for appointment in Fall Semester 2019, with a beginning date in early August, at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. Candidates for these positions must have a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering with specialization in one of the two subject areas of project management (scheduling, implementation, risk management, costing and finance, and organizational behavior) or engineering management (operations research, engineering statistics, simulation and quality control). The appointed faculty is expected to teach undergraduate courses in industrial engineering and graduate courses in engineering project management. All classes and other campus activities are conducted only in English. The successful candidate will be active in research in his/her fields of interests, incorporate high-impact educational practices in his/her teaching, advise undergraduate students, and provide service to the department, university, and community.  Extent of experience with ABET accreditation requirements must be indicated in the cover letter. Applicants must also indicate in the cover letter whether they would like to be considered for a full-time continuing position or a full-time visiting position.  Applicants are requested to submit a cover letter, detailed curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching and research interests, transcripts, and the names, addresses, telephone numbers, and e-mail addresses of at least three references.  Required qualifications: · Doctoral degree in Industrial Engineering with specialization in either project management or engineering management from an accredited institution of higher education · Effective communication skills · University teaching experience · Commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship · Interest and experience working effectively with a diverse student population · Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with faculty from a variety of disciplines
